Synopsis
Davidel.com is a medium sized healthcare company based in London providing natural
alternatives to traditional medicine, associated organic and health related products, together with providing
personal consultations. Launched at the end of 2005, they we're keen focus their initial marketing efforts online.
Challenges
They came to us running their product offering on static html pages which meant that
any products additions or changes has to be performed by their webmaster. They were getting traffic but not
much was really converting into business, and they were finding it difficult to provide some kind of focus on
the products which gave them the best return. Not having the time to allocate to creating content meant the site
wasn't being regularly updated. Design was dated, which may have lead to poor conversion rates and navigation was
heavily java based does help search rankings.
Solutions
We migrated site onto an search engine friendly shopping cart system which they were
able to update themselves. We asked them to provide some sample articles to allow us to analyse their writing style
and method of information delivery. On this basis we crafted pages of actionable content designed with conversion
in mind. Informational copy was developed for each of their products to act as a landing page for the search
engines, as most people are looking for more details regarding health related products to help reinforce the buying
process. A basic link campaign was also put in place and allowed to develop naturally overtime.
Results
Starting in March 2006, increasing Davidels search engine results position from not at
all being found to obtaining position No.1 in Google for the term "natural healthcare company" with 30,600,000 competing
pages.
